Who I Am

Dr Nir Fireman FRACP

Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist

I am Dr. Nir Fireman, a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist based in Auckland. Trained as a general paediatrician, I further specialized in paediatric gastroenterology in Israel. My professional journey in New Zealand began in 2016 at the Starship Children’s Hospital, where I worked as a paediatric gastroenterology consultant. Since 2017, I have been consulting privately, primarily at MacMurray Centre in Auckland , with additional outreach clinics in Cambridge and Lower Hutt. In 2024, I’ve co-founded the TinyGiant Centre.

In my practice, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care to paediatric patients of all ages, from newborns to older teenagers, addressing a wide range of digestive issues. I have particular expertise in performing paediatric endoscopies, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, pill cam, and endoscopic pH studies. My approach to patient care combines advanced medical knowledge with empathy and personalised attention.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time in Auckland with my wife, three children, and our three cats, balancing a fulfilling career with a rich family life.
